FREAKING AAAAAAHHHHHHHHH

My parents are driving me fucking crazy. They wonder why once kids move out, they never ever want to move back in. Come chill with my parents for a week. I'm being bratty, I know, but fucking seriously, they are driving me absolultely INSANE. I've never been nagged so much before in my life. Let me pose a question to you all. If I'm the one graduating, WHY THE FUCK DO I HAVE TO CALL MY RELATIVES AND TELL THEM THAT. Shouldn't I be recieving phone calls from them, congradulating me? It's nice if they call, and I sincerely thank and appreciate all that have called -- or sent gifts, for which I have made it a point to call and thank, but if they don't call, I won't lose any sleep, I promise. Apparently, however, it's absolutely pivitol to my existance that I call my former 80 year old neighbor (who moved away a couple of years ago) to say "hello" because "she always asks about me". Not to mention all of my other 75,000 relatives (I come from a rather large family). I mean c'mon, I'm 22, I think I'm old enough to decide who I need to call and when.

Sorry, you've all experienced a Samir venting episode. Usually, I don't let things phase me but the parents bring out the best in me. Don't get me wrong, for those who know me intimately, they know that my parents are by far the most important thing in my life, and I love and respect them deeply, they just drive me crazy all the freaking time.

Blog = good for venting, if you want to vent about something, leave a comment. I'm a good ventee :)

American Airlines Suck

[Current Music: Oasis - Wonderwall]
[Current Mood: Stuffed]
[Current Activity: Downloading the new Winamp]

So yesterday I secured an apartment, after a long arduous day of apartment hunting. I looked at a number of complexes, and I liked each one better than the previous, which leaves me a little nervous about this place. This was the last place I looked, and perhaps if I had looked more, I would have liked the next places better than this. Oh well, this place is nice, 810 sq ft place. My favorite features are the walk in closet, eat in kitchen, fireplace, and most of all, screened in deck. I'll have pictures for you guys once I furnish the place. And so, since I found the place so quickly, I decided to fly up a day early. Except the freaking flight was delayed for an hour and a half. I love being nagged by my mom, if any of you know my mom really well, you know that i'm convinced that she is the most nagging woman on earth, but regardless, I got through it and finally arrived back in long island, where my parents demanded I unload the cars. Now instead of just leaving the cars packed up as is so we could drive them down to NC, I have to unload all my shit, go through it and decide what i'm taking (which in my infinite stubborness will, indeed, be all of it), load it back up, then unload it all again in NC. This is as opposed to unloading EVERYTHING at NC and deciding later if I want to keep it. Logic at its finest. Anyways, afterwards, went out ot dinner w/ Sahil (an old friend of mine), which was awesome. Regardless, i'm stuffed, and pack to "sorting". Good night all.

An uncomfortable situation

So it's about 12:30 am, I'm in bed at the Crabtree Valley Marriott. Now this is by no means a cheap hotel, it's like a 4 star place, great room, etc. So I'm in bed all ready to sleep and all of a sudden, I hear moaning and screaming coming from the room next door. Now, I'm all for people doing the horizontal tango, especially in a hotel room. Being that I've lived next door to Pete "White Chocolate" Scott for 2 years, I've heard my fair share of dirtyness through the walls, so a little moaning never hurt anybody, right? WRONG. Sex sounds are OK in my book in just about every situation other than the one I was in. See, my mother was sleeping in the next bed over and well, the last thing I want to hear whilst sharing a room with the woman that carried me in her womb for the better part of a year is freaking sex sounds. I mean c'mon, that's just uncomfortable :( Thank god it was over quick though, I only heard it for like a second. Anyways, yeah, just thought I'd share. So yeah, the next time you're about to get down in a hotel room, be mindful of the possibility of a 22 year old man sleeping in the same room as his mother while apartment hunting in a brand new city.

Raleigh

I decided to split this up into two posts, so “y’all” don’t get too bored. I’m currently sitting in my hotel room in Raleigh. So far, this place has been really nice. The people here are ridiculously nice. My mom and I have been thoroughly amazed. Everyone like takes extra time to explain everything to you and make sure you’re all set with everything.

The cab ride to the airport was rather interesting. I’ve been privileged enough to have had some interesting cabbies in my day (read crazy Canadian cabby). When we first entered the cab, the guy was saying something in some indiscernible accent. All I really god from the conversation was two phrases: “Mama Mia!” and “Fuggedaboudit (watch Donnie Brasko for a thorough explanation of this phrase)”, which led me to believe that he was of Italian descent. This guy was actually Austrian, born in Vienna. Apparently, he used to work for the border patrol as a Federal INS agent. He came to America because his job was getting too dangerous. Apparently, back in the day, all they worried about was people coming over the border illegally, but now there’s lotsa drug trafficking and such, making the job a lot more dangerous. All in all, the guy was really cool although his accent made it extremely hard to understand him. It’s funny how you can randomly meet these interesting people. Tomorrow I plan on hopefully finding a place to spend the next year or more of my life. I’m really excited to be looking at apartments… from what I’ve been told, they are rather nice down here. Anyways, it’s been a rather long day, and the bed seems to be calling my name. Talk to “y’all (I’ve heard this word a million times already, don’t be surprised if I start using it regularly)” later.

Gradumatated :O

[Current Music: Mozart - Pachelbel's Canon in D Minor]
[Current Mood: Anxious/Excited]
[Current Activity: Sitting in a hotel room typing/conversing with my mother]

So that’s it… I graduated. Everything I’ve done in my life really up until now has been for the moment I walk across that stage. And what a moment, I’ve got video to prove it. Yes, I’m that asshole that walked up on stage with a video camera in my hand, receiving my diploma in the other. Regardless, there was much fanfare, THANK YOU ALL FOR COMING OUT, whoever came. I really appreciate it, from what I heard, I had the loudest cheering section, kudos to Christina for the airhorn. My parents were waiting for me on the other side of the stage, I wish you all could have seen there faces. I hope I’ve got video of it…. I’ve never seen smiles so large. Later that night, I made it out to 17, where Matt handed me a bottle of Champagne to celebrate. I definitely drank in my cap and gown, as per the request of everyone. It was nice to see everyone out and chillin, it’s the nights where we just hung out that I’ll miss the most.

With graduating, however, came the realization that I’m done with college. For 5 years, I’ve been in Rochester learning, living, loving. It’s been the best 5 years of my life, hands down. I can’t even begin to express how much I’ve enjoyed college. I really feel as if I got the real college experience and really made the most of it. Thank you everyone for everything throughout the years. I’ve met so many people, and I guarantee that non of them will be forgotten. I can especially say that about my fellow Tekes and Deephers. Without you guys, I would have just been another CS major. I won’t forget a single one of you. Along with them, there have been many more that have left permanent imprints on my life.

Enough sappyness… the following day was filled with more graduations. I attended 3 in total, Prateek’s in the morning (Prateek, I was there, ringing the cowbells which I’m sure you heard, thank you to the Alpha Xi girls for loaning them to me), Pete’s at noon, which was really freaking long, and Allie and Kimmy’s in the afternoon. It was cool to meet the infamous Dick “Godfather” Scott (Pete’s dad) and his brother, who, I must admit, handled his first experience with Beast and a plate rather well. It was also really really nice to see Allie’s family, I do miss them quite a bit. They were so accepting of me, and treated me as a part of the family, even when they didn’t have to. So if any of you are reading, thank you kindly, I feel like I’ve got family in Reading…. and Chicago. Later that night, I went around and said my goodbyes, and then went to MacGregor’s. The original plan was to go downtown, but we decided to change it. Mostly everyone was indifferent about going downtown, except me, who wanted to stay nearby because I had to get up at like 6 in the morning and move. So we all went out to MacG’s which was fun. Sort of a last night out type of thing. Pete, Mullen and Hesky had been drinking for quite a while prior to that, so that made things rather interesting.

I could write a book about my college experiences (and someday I may, and if I do, I’ll be naming names so watch out :P), but I think I’ll keep it at everything I’ve said already. For those of you that still have some time left… enjoy it while you can. The moment is fleeting, make the most of it. Don’t study too hard, and make it a point to go out and see your friends whenever possible. Try to make as many new friends as you can, and definitely try to become better friends with your old ones. It will make leaving that much harder, but you’ll come away with AMAZING memories. And most of all, don’t look forward to graduating too much, only in college can you party in a pretty much consequence free environment while being under the financial support of your parents.

Good luck to all, and I sincerely hope I’ll get to see every one of you again. I promise the vacation money jar will get filled soon, and I’ll definitely be up in Rochester ASAP. :)

Almost........

[Current Music: Audioslave - Be Yourself]
[Current Mood: TIRED]
[Current Activity: Parent-proofing]

So yesterday, I got out of my last final (which happened to be the easiest I've ever taken in my life), and it hit me like a ton of bricks. I'm no longer in college. I've gotten so used to college, it's gonna be so wierd not being in college. I guess it's hard because people always tell you college is the best time of your life... and so when you graduate highschool, you know that you are in for a great time. However, college is done for me... but I'm about ready to go. I've done enough partying for like 2 college expereinces, and had an all around great time.

Thank you to everyone that's been here throughout. I seriously hope I don't lose touch, however inevitable it may be....

On another note, Allie and I are talking again, which is good. I'd hate to end things on such a bad note. Chuckles was right when he said its good to graduate with a clean slate, and it would have been bad if we still weren't talking. I guess things are coming together. Right now, though, i've gotta parent proof the place (hide all the paraphanalia, empty bottles, anotomically correct inflatable farm animals, etc)

This shit is freaking annoying, the parents are coming tomorrow and there's still so much to be done, so I guess I'll go.... I'll be alking tomorrow, that should be a fun experience. 5 years and the cost of a BMW Z8 later.... Samir walks his ass across a stage.

Last real weekend of college

[Current Music: Audioslave - Like a Stone]
[Current Mood: A bit jaded =o\]
[Current Activity: Looking at pictures]

So this past weekend was the final real weekend of college, which makes me rather sad. I've been thinking about this quote and it's been truer and truer:

"It was the best of times, it was the worst of times"

I'm excited to be moving on, but anxious as well. I'm not exactly sure what living down south is going to hold for me. I used to consider myself a total city guy. Now I realize that I actually liked Rochester because it was a smaller, more personal town. Everyone says the south is nice, supposedly everyone is super nice down there, and of course the southern hospitality is equal to none.

Regardless, we all decided to go out with a bang. The weekend was fun for the most part. It started off with the last Thursday party, which was definately a great time. Friday night was senior night, which had its ups and its downs. It was cool to be completely and utterly smashed in the SAU though. Afterwards, however, I came home and was really tired. All I really wanted to do was chill and watch a movie or soemthing. However, the guys had other plans. Ryan and Ira decided to kidnap me, and I ended up going to 165 and just kind of sitting there drinking water. I ended up walking home from 165 with Diane and her friend Joanna, which was sobering and actually enjoyable. So that was kind of a highlight. Joanna's really chill, it's sad that I'll probably never see her again in my life. It sucks that only recently, I've met so many new people that I wish I could know forever, but I'm sure I'll completely lose touch with. Such is life I guess?

Saturday involved lots of preperations, and then the big event. For some reason, I was annoyed/saddened all day, but it was indeed my day. The graduation party was alot of fun, and thank you everyone for coming out. The seniors decided to all wear pink (it was a bitch to get Prateek to do that). Larissa and Anna decided to show up wearing pink too, ruining everything :P J/King. Seriously though, thanks for everyone that was there, I don't remember the toast I made, but I'm sure it was meaningful.

Sunday was your typical recovery sunday, spent some times in the lab for this stupid Applied Econ project. Sunday night was really good though, I watched "Hitch" and just relaxed. Afterwards, I enjoyed some nice green tea with a friend because we were both coughing up lungs.

Ask me about my obsession with green tea sometime. The stuff is magic and works miracles.

Sunday night was exactly what I needed though, just a relaxing night. My body was definately looking forward to not drinking and "Hitch", although ending on somewhat of a chick-flick note, was actually a fun movie overall. If I was only half as smooth as Will Smith, there'd be trouble ;)

Anyways, graduation is coming up WAAAAY too fast, and the thought of graduating is scary enough, let alone all the shit I have to get done before it. This week is gonna be rough.

Quote of the moment:
"Even when you've paid enough
Been put upon or been held up
Every single memory of the good or bad, faces of love
Don't lose any sleep tonight, I'm sure everything will end up alright
You may win or lose
But to be yourself is all that you can do"
-Audioslave, "Be yourself"

Leave me some love in the form of comments, ims, whatever.... its appreciated :)

Last class EVER

[Current Music: Audioslave - Be Yourself]
[Current Mood: Stuffed - Aladdin's is AMAZING]
[Current Activity: Preppin for thursday party]

So last night I got a lil intoxicated. I've been lushin it up pretty hardcore lately, and that doesn't seem like its stopping, especially for this weekend. I ended up getting up, still rather intoxicated, so I went to my last class as an undergraduate ever still drunk from the night before. Apparently, I was visibly drunk, and people told me I still wreaked of alcohol. Oh well, what a way to end college :) It's really kinda sad though, it's like just hitting me now that I'll never go to class again (well, except for my MBA but those don't count). If you think about it, you've been taking classes all your life, from the age of 3-4. All of a sudden, now, we just pick up and go off into the real world. I was talking to Diane about the future and I mentioned that uncertainty scared me. She said that's what's great about the future, but it still kinda scares me. I'm a pretty big control freak. I hate surprises and I always like to know whats coming up. Raleigh's gonna be crazy cause I don't a soul down there, but people keep tellin me I'll make plenty of friends in no time. I remember when I first came to college, I wasn't nervous at all. You're pretty much like thrown into a building with 100 people that are in the exact same position as you. It's like you're forced to socialize and make friends, especially cause all of your friends are living right next to you, but living in an apt. complex is completely differnt. I dunno, I'll just chalk this one up to adventure. I really am looking forward to it, I haven't heard a single bad thing about Raleigh and from what I hear, the southern hospitality is nice ;)

It saddens me though, that I've really only opened up this past quarter. I shut myself off from the world for a year and a half, and I found that I really changed as a person. I used to be the funloving party guy and I kind of became an uptight asshole. Fortunately, old habits die hard. I've made lots of new friends, and I've made better friends of my old ones. I'll miss the hell out of everyone here, I really wish RIT could become Raleigh Institute of Technology.

Another realization I came to was last night during pass the gavel at chapter meeting. Alumni are always coming up to visit, but living the college/fraternity life can be parelled by nothing. It's like the greatest life, you've always got an awesome group of friends that will always be there whenever you need them. I was looking around the room and its nuts how every one of those guys is so different, and they add so much. Each has made an impact.

Anyways, people are here to celebrate Thursday, g'nite :)

Thought I'd share, it amused me this morning, hope it amuses you.

Sapphire Gin and Tonic

Ingredients:

Lots of Ice
1 Part Bombay Sapphire Gin (you may not subsitute any other gin for this)
1.5 - 2 Parts Tonic of choice (I prefer Polar brand Tonic)
1 Splash Blue Curacao
1 Lime wedge, sqeezed to taste

Using a drink glass, preferably clear, add gin and tonic over ice. Throw in a splash of blue curacao, stir well, then add lime to taste. It's a great drink, using the Bombay, you can't even taste the gin (even though more than a third of the drink is gin). The curacao adds an awesome blue color, reminiscent of the Bombay Sapphire bottle. Oh, did I mention it'll FUCK YOU UP? Just ask Rich :) Too bad I can't reveal the super secret recipe for Samirinoffs ;)

Yay for Tuesday!

[Current Music: Audioslave - Be Yourself (my new favorite song of the moment)]
[Current Mood: Tired, samir need sleep]
[Current Activity: At work in the Greek Affairs office (last day :O )]

Ahh tuesday. It's the day after monday, but it is indeed, right before wednesday. I generally like tuesdays, my class load consists of SE Process (which is pretty easy, I just sit on the computer and talk to people online) and Wine Connoisseur. I've also got a 2 hour gap between them, which allows for some wonderful people-watching time.

Yesterday was absolutely beautiful, I think it hit 87 at one point. I was all about sittin outside and doing nothing. Between lunch and Wine C, I got some great people watching in. Oh, side note, congrats to Joe (Muffins) for winning the packaging contest in his class. He got $200, which he says he's going to spend on drugs. At least he said he's upping the quality, not the quantity, so go ahead Joe, you earned it! Joe and his team's assignment was to create a new package for Irish Spring (owned by Colgate Co.) that would generate and drive sales. Joe actually had the smart idea of putting it in a resealable pouch, so you could take your soap on the road. The soap-in-a-pouch was a big hit I guess. $10 says that of all people, Joe becomes the most successful. Joe, the pride and joy of the fraternity. That's just ironic.

Anyways, so I people watched for a while, went to wines, took my final in that class, then I was done for the day. Went home and chilled for a bit, then decided it was waaaaaay too nice outside be indoors so I went over to Alpha Xi to chill outside for a while. I brought my benefits package from Misys so I could try and make some sense of it.... mixed results, this shit is confusing. After that, went over to 165 to chill, busted in on Cody and his GF having sex. Poor Frenchie's been sexiled for like the past 3 days, so we decide to bust in, camera in hand. We got some, uhm, interesting pictures. Anyways, after that, Pete and I headed over to B-dubs. I'm not really a big fan of b-dubs on tuesdays, its so freakin crowded, takes like 20 minutes to get a drink. But Kimmi was out so we decided what the hell. After bdubs, we got a bunch of the boys together and decided to end the night at my place. I got pretty faded, not gonna lie, IMed some people, said some funny shit, did some funny shit, can't really remember it all.

It was nice chillin with the fellas. These are definately the nights that shall be missed. We decided to order pizza and somehow, I ended up talking to the guy on the phone for like 10 minutes about Egypt. Yes, I know that's completely random, but he did give me a discount, so rock on. When the delivery guy came, we decided to tip him in beer, so he chugged a beast and was on his way.

The morning was equally interesting, involving me hugging the toilet for a while. Then, I was going to look for frenchie, he was MIA. He was here when I went to bed, but not here when I woke up. If any of you have seen a small french man with a huge penis, please contact me ASAP.

I've decided that College is no longer just a noun, but indeed an adjective. And so, I dub last night, totally College.

Spring Weekend

[Current Music: Heather Headley]
[Current Mood: TIRED]
[Current Activity: reading Rin's blog, finishing up this godforsaken paper]

So this past weekend was our Last Blast, Spring Weekend, whatever you want to call it. It consists of lots of partying. It's a nice tradition because many of the Alumni come up and party with us, remind themselves of their college days. It also gives us a chance to end the year off with a bang. On friday, we generally throw a smallish party where we all just chill, get some kegs, typical "frat boy" things. This past friday was, indeed, no exception. I was feeling in a mellow mood, so I decided to grab a stogie that I got for christmas. It was a Jose Gener Hoyo de Monterrey. I must admit, it was really smooth, nice drag, nice color, nice taste, and exceptional finish (like I know what the hell I'm talking about). It was flavorful, with some spice, but it didn't have the bite. Definately mellow, definately what I was in the mood for. Gump shared some of his Patron tequila with me. For those of you who have had Patron, you know what I'm talking about. For those of you that haven't, if you have the means, TRY IT! It's amazing, even if you're not a tequila fan. Smoothest tequila I ever had, we just sipped on it -- on the rocks. I spent most of the beginning of my night out on the picnic table watching the night happen. Not much really happened, so after I was done with the cigar, I went inside and chilled with everyone. Eventually, a rather intoxed Rinny and Diane showed up after their runaway and we all chilled upstairs mostly. Rinny passed out in Sedlack's bed with pete's aviators on (there's a nice pic of it on the pictures website). I think the funniest moment of the evening was when Diane, Kat and I were chillin alone in Sedlack and Matt's room. We're hanging out on the bed, Kat's not feeling so well, and all of a sudden, Sedlack walks in. We all look at him and let out a sly smile, and he slowly backs away as if he had walked into a Boston pub wearing a Yankee's jersey. Moments later, Kat grabs a large cup and starts lettin out all the alcohol she consumed earlier. I was going to dump the cup out, but I was instructed to leave it, in Kat's words: "It'll be an interesting present for someone to find". Sorry Sedlack :P. Anyways, chilled for a bit longer, then went home and went to bed, I was rather sleepy, and I had a long day ahead.

The next day started off with grumbling -- didn't want to get out of bed at all. Eventually I made it out, went over to 165 and hopped onto the bus for some drunken park action.

Saturdays during spring weekend consist of all of us going out to a park, kegs in hand, and pretty much getting blasted. We got there, however the kegs hadn't made their way yet. Everyone seemed to be getting antsy, and unfortunately, JD, the guy running it all, started to take much of the blame. It wasn't his fault really, perhaps some better planning, but he did the best he could. On a better note, this year's favors were AMAZING, props JD. Usually, we get a T-Shirt and a crappy plastic cup. This year, JD decided to scrap the t-shirt and get everyone Nalgene bottles. These things are totally sweet, so I was pumped. The kegs finally arrived and everyone settled down for a bit. The rest of the day was typical, lots of beer, volleyball, etc. We crowned 2 new little sisters, Mittens (dubbed Helmet), and Amy (dubbed Cocktease). It was a great time all in all, but of course the day wasn't over yet. Some people left early to go to the DPhiE formal. I heard that was a great time and I know I should have been there, but it would have been uncomfortable for certain people (myself included), and I just didn't want to deal with it. Besides, I was all about having fun at the afterparty. So we get back to 165 and continue on drinking. Apparently, Larissa knew someone that lived in colony who's neighbors had live chickens in there apartment. We go over there in an attempt to try to steal some of them (how funny would it be if I walked into 165 holding a live chicken?). Anyways, we're about to break into this place, and I realize someone's home, and that I know him. So instead, we ask about the chickens, and apparently they had found a new home. So we roll over to the other apartment and I'm about to break in, but there's someone there too, and, yup, I knew him too. So we conversed, he had no idea what I was talking about (the chickens), so we chalked it up to a loss. I came home to this quote:

Hesky: "Dude, I just saw frenchie's cock"
Me: "yikes man, how?"
Hesky: "He was peeing behind 165, facing 165. It's actually pretty big considerring his proportions and all"

Wonderful. Frenchie's new nickname: Tripod.

The next couple of hours are a blur, but I do remember going to Olive Garden.

We roll into OG, 14 deep and ask for a table. They said it would be like 60 minutes, so Ogre demands all of us 21+'s wait at the bar. We go over there, and he points to everyone and says "beer" and hands the bartender his credit card. She gets us all beers of our choices and as she's coming back, Ogre says "They said we need to wait for 60 minutes and they're going to regret every minute of it". After being "those guys" for like 20 minutes, they had our table ready (I guess if they ever quote you a long wait, start being "those guys"). We sit down and make asses of ourselves at the table of course, with such things as Ogre yelling across the table:

"Samir, you're not a whore, you're a slut. Whore's charge money!"

Thanks Ogre, that was wonderful. After, the car ride was interesting. The car was really really packed, so I had to sit on Ogre's lap. Note self, never EVER sit on a large drunken man's lap. There's nothing like being cradled in the arms of a large drunken man like a baby. Oh, and the dry humping, definately appreciated that. But anyways, that'll get blocked from my memory, or, require lots of therapy, either way, shit happens. The rest of the night was a blur, I just got progressively more intoxed. I do remember pammy and Tina coming over. They left their formal early to come chill, and that was AWESOME. Pam was upset about some stuff so I spent most of the time with her trying to make her feel a lil bit better. We dropped them home, picked up a rather intoxicated Diane from the alpha xi house, and then partied. I started drinking water, but somehow, got even more drunk, which I don't understand, but oh well. Somehow made it home, thanks Bill. Bill and I had exchanged some harsh words earlier about some risk management issues, but we ended up apologizing to each other so in the end, it was all good of course.

The next morning was rough, so much pain. Definately felt like I had gotten assaulted. Rolled over and got champagne breakfast which was AMAZING. Thank you so much Rin and Kat for cooking. Extra thanks to Rin, she worked her ass off for it, and we all really do appreciate it.

The rest of today involved grumbling, groaning, wondering how I got all these bruises, etc. I'm sure Larissa and Anna found out some interesting things about me during the lineup :P

All in all, amazing weekend, one of the best spring weekends ever, glad it happened and glad to be going out with such a blast. :)

Cinco de Mayo

For all, happy belated Cinco de Mayo, quite possibly the greatest holiday ever. Keeping in our newly appointed thursday night tradition, we decided to have a lil gathering at our place, with a Cinco de Mayo theme of course. Get a case and a half of Corona, a handle of Xalixco tequila (it's actually pretty good), and a shitload of tortilla chips, of course. Before starting, we played some softball and got our asses handed to us by Triangle. They played a good game but the refs were douchebags, seriously. Anyways, we get back and start partying. Also keeping in tradition, we go till like 6 in the morn. I have no idea how we didn't get a noise complaint, being as we were blasting music and running around the common area in UC like a bunch of drunken jackasses. Took lotsa tequila shots, grey goose shots, don't remember much after that. BTW, if you ever have the chance, next time you're eating chips and salsa, try putting a little bit of tequila in the salsa, it actually adds a great flavor.

Anyways, after we're good and drunk, we decide to go to denny's. The car was packed so I decide I want to ride in the trunk, and definately pass out in it on the way to denny's. Anyways, got food, decide to go help Tina paint the rock. Somehow, I got the bright idea to start calling people. So I call Russian, president of TKE and tell him that I'm in jail and I need bail money. Apparently, I got arrested for indecent exposure. Poor kid had gotten home from work like an hour ago, and now I'm telling him I need bail money. He starts making phone calls and somehow, scrounges up $400 to come bail me out, and he comes over to my place to see if strube's here (strube said he'd throw in some money for bail). When he gets here, he finds me passed out in my bed. Somehow, we played it off that Pete's parents wired him some money to come bail me out. Anyways, don't tell Ed I wasn't in jail, he still thinks I was. I hope he doesn't read this blog, but if he does, I love ya man, you came through, that's brotherhood ;)

Man I'm an asshole. Anyways, came home, passed out, gonna go party at 165 for some spring weekend action.

A conundrum

I heard this statement the other day:

"Did you know that 90% of all statistics are made up on the spot?"

Ponder that.

Tuesday night at 3295

So after Larissa left, I decide I'm going to have another glass of that Pinot. Then Pete walks in and we start chillin, one glass turned into 2, into more, etc. I'm talking to random people online and we decide its time to party. Whip out the XXX and start bugging ryan. Pete and I are messin w/ chuckie online. The convorsation goes like this (gloworm is chuckie talking from di's sn):

Gloworm0101: well, tell me this, who has a girl on his lap and who is sitting around getting drunk with another dude?
tkedesiboy: you've got a fucking minorah burned
tke desiboy: into your penis from jen, what the fuck is a girl sitting on your lap gonna do" -pete

Chuckie's girl is jewish.

There's more, but, uhh, we'll leave that be. Anyways, we get Chuckie to come over and give Tina a ride so she can join in the festivities. She was planning on pullin an all nighter, so I figured she could pull one here. So they come over and we go ask Ryan for some deoderant. Let me explain:

Earlier in the evening, pete and I wanted to bug ryan, so we go knock on his door and ask for something completely random, deoderant apparently. We steal it from him and just chill. Then later, chuckie tries to wake ryan's ass up, asking for deoderant. Ryan still won't come out, so we decide to send it in big guns -- Tina. Tina's a small freckled little asian girl, so we have her pound on the door, ryan answers, she asks for deodorant. Ryan finally decides to come out and spray his goddamn AXE everywhere, "here, you want some fucking deodorant?".

Props to ryan though, he's a good sport. Pete and I give him soooo much shit, its not even funny. For example, we were all partying and he wouldn't come out of his room so we wrote bitch in sharpie on his door, don't know how well you can see it in the pic though. See pic below:

Bitch Posted by Hello

Props to ryan, he usually does come out and party even when he's already asleep and has an early class or quiz. Prateek, on the other hand, is a lil bitch :P We ate his pizza and he threw a shitfit this morning. MMMMM it was good. Anyways, we put on American Pie, Tina had never seen it, and I ended up passing out. Woke my ass up at 6, helped Tina register for classes, then passed out again. All in all, great night.

This morning, Ryan, Pete and I were discussing how awesome the apartment's been this quarter. We've all been chillin, and fucking with each other, just havin a great time all in all. I'm gonna miss these fuckups.

BTW, Thursday party is gonna be themed this week, its CINCO DE MAYO!!! Everyone's Mexican for a day. I myself will be doing some gardening and being lazy all in all (that one's for you Kate). J/K, I love our neighbors down below, yo quero taco bell my friends, yo quero taco bell!

Baby, you're so money and you don't even know it!

[Current Music: EBTG - No Difference]
[Current Mood: Smilin actually]
[Current Activity: talking to people, discussing Tina's height problem :P]

OK,
So the day started off normally, went to class, which, surprisingly, wasn't too painful. My groupmates (Russ from Triangle, Andrew from SAM, and some dude Mike) are all on the ball, one of the few groups that actually do stuff at RIT. After that, downloaded some, uhh, interesting photo's from various TKE events, and deleted some of my old photos that were just wasting space on my computer (and no chuckie, no porn). Went to lunch w/ Kate and Tom, that was actually entertaining.

Wines was interesting... although I really didn't enjoy any of the wines today... not a huge fan of Fox Run I guess. Oh well. Anyways, came home, hoping to escape the world for a while and take a nap, but instead, I ended up talking to people online -- some great convorsations, others not so much so.

Larissa and I decided it was definately movie time, she's been promising watching Swingers with me (btw, if you haven't seen that movie, freaking watch it, I swear by that flick), so I decided to do dinner and a movie to get our minds off of shit.

My cousin came to visit the family a while back from Germany and he brought us a couple of amazing bottles of wine, a South African Vresienoff Pinot Noir and a French Reisling of some sorts. He's a photographer and he was the director of photography for a documentary filmed in SA, so he picked up the Pinot there. I've been saving both for a special occasion and I'm glad I did, the Pinot was AMAZING. Props to Larissa and Pete (props to pete, you know what for ;)), it was EXACTLY what the doctor ordered.

Now I'm just chillin, talkin to Tina. I feel bad about her and Gradam, they broke up recently. I know what she's feelin, and whilst he's a good kid, I think its for the best, so stay up babe :) Seems like this quarter's been rough on relationships:

petethepusherman: if love's a battlefield, man we been through rangoon

Word up pete.

Anyways, I'm drinkin some more of this Pinot, you really gotta try some, its fan-freakin-tastic

Perhaps I'll watch a movie and hit the sack early tonight, damn distractions keepin me up all late :P

G'nite -- and sincerest thanks to everyone that made the day just a lil bit better, you know who you are, and you will all be missed dearly.

Pete on The Backstreet Boys

Me: "Mittens is saying that I should get you a journal so you can write your feelings about the backstreet boys"
Pete: "I ain't got no beef with backstreet boys, I kinda like them...... they ain't never hurt me specifically"

Chukie and porn

" Oh, and try to remember that the opposite of watching porn and masturbating is making your own porn." - From Chuckie's comment on the last post

This is what happened:
We're in the car going to the movies, and chuckie asks what the hell I was doing because I took forever to pick them up.

Chuck: "Dude, what were you doing?"
Me: "I was, uhm, preoccupied"
Chuck: "Ohhhhhhh, I see, PREOCCUPIED, like lock the doors and get out the kleenex preoccupied"
Me: "Actually, the exact opposite"
Chuck: "Wait, you were making your own porn?"
Me: "What????"
Chuck: "Dude, the opposite of watching porn is making your own"
Me: "Hmm, wow that's actually true"

Note: I was not actually watching, nor making porn.

Pete's review of the blog

"Dude, if you wanted a fucking diary, why didn't you just tell me? I'll go out and buy you one now, one with pretty little hearts and a gay ass pink little lock on it. And then you can write about your feelings for David Cassidy in it! Dude, stop being a fag"
-Pete

I think I'm going to have a regular posting entitled "Pete's review of.....". This is too funny

[Current Music: Coldplay - Sparks]
[Current Mood: infuriated - but not at the same time, I think Dickens says it best in the first line of his Tale of Two Cities]
[Current Activity: looking up lyrics, conversing, procrastinating]

Hmm, so about my day:
Started off regular, went to work, didn't have to anything to do there so I just kinda sat there for a while. Got an email from my cousin, which was cool. Apparently, he's retiring, at the age of like 35. He wants to play Mr. Dad for a while, which is totally respectable and awesome. Besides, i'm sure he's well off enough. I think of all the positive male role models in my life, he's had one of the largest impacts. He's doing exactly what I want to be doing, and it seems like I can identify w/ him the most, so that's sweet.

Anyways, had lunch w/ Chuckles (props for comin out bro), Lil Bunny, Pmpgirl (pam), Alicja, Sedlack and gas can kid (this kid was walking around the toga party with a gas can filled with bud and jack D), that was entertaining. Applied Econ was BORING.... don't EVER take that class. History of computing was equally boring... damn classes, they ruin college!

Came home, was supposed to go to the gym, but I was way too tired, so I decided to be lazy and talk to Larissa for a bit. Pete and I decided to go to XRoads for dinner and drop off a little present to the DPhieE girls, so enjoy the sign ;) The only problem was, we walked in at the PERFECT time, for me to walk in on something I really didn't want to see, but eh, c'est la vie.

Came home for a while, wrote a paper, organized some photos, then went out to see XXX with Chuckles, Strube and Di. I've got one word about that movie..... "OSCAR". Really though, it was amusing, although not as amusing as strube's spandex, but that's another post altogether. I came home and started writing, then someone decided to have a heavy conversation with me, which was rough as hell, but rather helpful at the same time, so thanks. True colors do indeed shine through in the end. But what can you do?

You just gotta live life for the moment, which is exactly what I've been doing. Besides, life is way too good to sweat the small stuff (stolen from my 5th grade teacher) ;)

Anyways, I've been avoiding work like the plague, and I think I'll continue to avoid it some more :)

Good night.

And this could be my last chance

No more keeping my feet on the ground"

Samir the kitten

So the highlight of my week:
Sarah gets a new black kitten and her and her mom are sitting there trying to decide to what to name it. She told me that the kitten kept giving her the "sad face" (i'm sure many of you know exactly what I'm talking about), and it reminded her of me. Her mom thought it would be a good idea to name it after me, and so, Samir the kitten is now runnin around and scratchin up Sarah's place. HOW AWESOME IS THAT?! Ok, you may not think so but having someone else name something after you generally feels awesome (unless it's like an STD or something i guess. Apparently, the kitten is a little "piss head" as Sarah so eloquently put it, but it's also very lovey. Awwwwwww yeah baby. Anyways, I've posted a pic of him down below.

Samir the kitten Posted by Hello

Welcome

So yeah, I joined the blog world. I'm sure you know who I am, it's not like I'm advertising this place using any means other than like AIM. If you have my sn, I'd hope you know me. If you have my sn and you don't know me..... uhh, well that's kinda creepy but drop me an IM and get to know me :P

I don't really know why I decided to start up the blog, I think my inspiration is Caitlin. It's always interesting to read her blog, although she is a much more interesting person that I ever could be (if you ever met her, you'd know) ;). Anyways, I figured if she could have a blog, so could I.

I'm not really that open with what's going on inside my head (read: what's REALLY going on inside my head), so this is gonna be weird. Perhaps I'll just tell you about my days (and nights) and move along from there, I dunno.

Regardless, welcome to Un Simple Histoire (points to the first person who tells me how that "phrase" is significant in any way to my life). Enjoy, I hope I'm interesting enough to make you come back often :).
